FAQ’s-
Orders-
When will my order ship once it's placed?
Typically, you can expect your order to ship within 1-3 business days. Firearms and receivers/frames may take 3-5 business days to ship out. During holidays and higher than normal order volumes shipping times may be longer. We work very hard to get your order out to you as quickly as possible.
Can I combine Orders?
Yes, as long as the original order has not been packaged and is ready to ship. If the orders are placed online the additional shipping will be refunded.
How will I know when my order has been shipped?
As long as we have a valid email address when your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail with your tracking information included.
How do I know if a magazine, part or firearm is compliant in my State?
That's a tough question to answer. Every state and sometimes locale can have different laws and regulations on firearms, parts and magazine capacity. Before placing an order for a firearm or magazine, please check your State website for who might have that information, usually a Department of Justice (DOJ) or similar. You might also contact your local FFL dealer who would handle the transfer to ensure that the firearm you are interested in is compliant in your state. Also, as a reference you can check out Handgunlaw.us
Inventory-
Can I be notified when an out-of-stock item is back in stock?
Yes, to be alerted to back in stock products simply use the "Email When Stock Available" block on the item product page. Enter your email address and click "Subscribe Now". When the product becomes available, we will send you a notification.
Can I order an out-of-stock item, and have you backorder it?
Yes and No. If you are allowed to order an out of stock item in the On-Line Store, some items you can, then yes. Back Orders will be available for those products that we can quickly restock. Otherwise No, we won't offer the option to back order for those products that are difficult to restock, or we can't restock in a reasonable time.
I don't see a product I want. Will you do a Special Order?
Yes, we will gladly special order any firearm or firearm accessory as long as we can get a hold of it.
For Special Orders we require to be paid in full except for any Sales Tax or Shipping before we will order the item. This includes for in shop work. Please note that there are no refunds for Special Ordered items unless we are unable to obtain it. On Special Order items any defects, suitability of use or other warranty issues will be the buyer's responsibility with the original supplier/manufacturer.
Payment-
What are my payment options?
We accept the following Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
We also accept personal checks and Postal Money Orders. Please understand checks will be held until they clear our bank which can cause delays.
I'm having an issue with my Credit Card on your website.
If you are having trouble submitting an order with your credit card, please check the following. Please note that we use AVS (Address Verification Service) to reduce fraud and protect our customers. If you have checked everything on the list that you can and still get your CC rejected call us and we will help you out.
- Make sure you have entered all data correctly.
- Make sure the Billing Information you are imputing matches what your bank has on file. The Street address and Zip Code need to match those records. If you have an odd street address (it's happened) then it could cause an issue with the Credit Card processing.
- Ensure that your billing address is filled in properly in the first address box on the form. Auto fillers are notorious for not putting your address into this box. Which will cause your CC to be rejected.
- If you are shipping to a different address than the Billing address, make sure the Credit Card has that address on file since it is being verified also.
- Only Credit Cards from US Banks are accepted.
- Make sure the issuing bank supports AVS, most do.
- If you are using a prepaid credit card, make sure you have an address associated with it and it has sufficient funds.
- It could be an internet issue with our Credit Card Processor and your Credit Card Company.
Can I pay for gunsmithing work through your website?
Yes. Let us know and we will email an invoice to you. You can then go to the Invoice Payment page and complete the process.
Dealers-
Do you offer Dealer Discounts?
Yes, we do, though not on everything. We also offer several items that are only available to dealers and can only be seen once a dealer is signed up and logged in to our On-Line Store. To become a dealer just send us an email requesting Dealer status and then follow the instructions in our reply to set up your account for On-Line Dealer access. Please note that we accept Type 01, 02 and 07 FFL’s. Sorry but Type 03’s don’t qualify. If you are a firearm/shooting oriented business that operates without an FFL we will require other documentation to validate the business.
Returns-
What about Returns, Exchanges or Refunds?
We have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our products and want our customers to be completely satisfied with any purchase they make from us. If for any reason you are not happy with our product you just need to follow our guidelines for returning it. We will offer you a replacement, exchange or full refund for initial purchase price (minus shipping costs) depending on the situation.
Requirements that need to be met.
- Contact us to receive an RMA (Return Material Authorization) prior to shipping items to ensure they are processed in a timely fashion. Failure to get an RMA before returning an item for any reason will void our Return/Exchange/Refund policy and result in a 30% return surcharge fee.
- The product must be in new condition and in the undamaged original packaging.
- Merchandise must be returned, shipped in protective packaging to prevent any damage and with the ability to verify delivery to us with a Tracking Number.
- We will offer a full refund including shipping if the return resulted from our error. Otherwise, we will deduct the original shipping costs from your refund.
- Refunds for items purchased with a Credit Card will be returned to a Credit Card. Any other payment types will be refunded via Check delivered by USPS.
- The customer will receive a refund within 10 business days of our receiving the return.
What if I have a defective part or item?
As long as the customer has not altered the part in anyway like filing, grinding, hammering, etc. which would have caused the part to fail, you can return the item by following the Returns/Exchanges/Refunds guidelines. Once we receive the part, we will examine it for any signs of improper alteration and determine the cause of failure. Once we determine that the part failed due to an actual defect, not normal wear and tear or improper alteration or installation we will process with either an Exchange or Refund.
Gunsmithing-
Will you work on any firearm?
NO, while we have worked on a wide variety of firearms in years past, we have condensed down to a select group. But with that being said there are firearms not listed on the website that we will still consider working on, this would be on a case by case basis. Email us with the details and we can let you know.
We will not work on firearms where we cannot reliably source parts for the model you have, you cannot provide accurate detail on what you have, it is an air rifle/pistol, muzzle loader, a firearm normally classified as an antique (Pre 1898), has Damascus barrels, any firearm we deem unsafe or illegal. At the present no NFA.
Can I just send in a portion of my firearm to be worked on?
Yes, depending on the firearm and what the work is we may be able to complete the job with just a few of the components. Just be aware that if it is a job that we would normally do a test fire after the work was completed and we cannot, there will be very limited warranty, if there is an issue with any part of the job. Please email us if you are uncertain and we can advise.
Do you warranty the work you perform?
While we do not have a written or stated warranty, we do stand behind all of our work. For over the past 40 years we have offered some of the best gunsmithing work in the country. If you have an issue with any work let us know and we will work to correct it. Besides the work we will also be looking at your ammo, magazines, lubrication, etc. to rule out problems.
I have never shipped a firearm for gunsmithing, what should I do?
Make sure that all components are well protected from each other and if you are not shipping in a hardcase, double box in heavy cardboard. If you are shipping in a hardcase it should be shipped inside a cardboard box to avoid additional shipping charges. Include in the package a detailed letter or download our Online-Workorder-Form, describing the work you wish or the exact mechanical problem you are experiencing, even if we have had previous correspondence. Make sure your contact information with a daytime telephone number and return shipping information is present in the letter as well. If required, we will contact you once we have had a chance to look over your firearm. When shipping a firearm always insure for the replacement cost. Ship with UPS or FedEx Signature required. Also include us in an email with the Tracking Number.
Note: Firearms being sent for service can normally be sent by an individual and do not require transfer through an FFL. See "Does my firearm need to be shipped through an FFL holder?" for additional details.
Do I need to ship my firearm through an FFL?
Normally No, for gunsmithing work an individual may ship their firearm directly to us without using an FFL for the transfer and we will return it directly to you. However, some States or locales may require an individual to ship a firearm through an FFL no matter what the purpose. If you are shipping through an FFL you need to let us know ahead of time.
One thing to note when shipping through an FFL, make sure it is the same one you will be using to receive the firearm back. If you don't then you will be required to fill out a Form 4473 and go through the same process as if you were purchasing it.
If you have any questions let us know and we can provide additional details.
